Tech Orda is a funding program designed to train IT specialists in private IT schools across Kazakhstan. Get a grant and start mastering an in-demand profession today!

Citizens of Kazakhstan aged between 18 and 45

Funding amount

The grant covers full or partial tuition fees (up to 600,000 KZT)

Duration of study

From 6 to 12 months, depending on the course and school

  1. Register on the astanahub.com portal using EDS.
  2. Choose a school and course from the IT schools showcase.
  3. Fill out the application form. The candidate can choose up to 5 accredited courses from either one school or different schools.
  4. Once applications are submitted, IT schools conduct a three-stage selection process. Application statuses — 'grant', 'waiting list', or 'rejected' — are displayed in the user’s portal account. If multiple schools offer a grant, the candidate must choose one.
  5. Candidates who are granted or placed on the waiting list must sign a standard agreement with the school and, if necessary, an additional agreement. Students must also consent to the collection and processing of personal data.
  6. IT schools must start the training within 30 days after the contract is signed. During training, students submit monthly reports via the astanahub.com portal and confirm them using EDS.
  7. At the end of the course, students must take a skills assessment test to evaluate the program's effectiveness. Skills assessment procedure – LINK.

How does the selection of future students take place?

The basic requirement is to be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged between 18 and 45 (inclusive). Each IT school independently selects students based on its own criteria. Applications are submitted through the IT schools showcase on the astanahub.com portal.

What documents are required to apply for the Tech Orda program?

- ID card - Application form - Resume or questionnaire - If possible, a motivation letter - If available, certificates confirming IT skills Note: the list of documents may vary depending on the IT school.

Do candidates who receive a grant have to work after completing their studies?

No, post-study employment is not mandatory. However, the student must successfully complete the training, attend classes, and pass the final assessment. In case of non-compliance — a penalty may be applied (non-refundable deposit).

Can a student transfer from one IT school to another that also participates in the program?

Yes, transfer is possible, but it depends on mutual agreement between the schools and the availability of places at the new school. The transfer must be justified and agreed upon by both parties.

How many IT schools can a student apply to?

A student can only apply to one IT school. The choice must be made consciously, as re-application is only allowed in the next intake.

Who pays the difference if the course costs more than 500,000 KZT?

The Tech Orda program covers up to 500,000 KZT. If the course is more expensive, the difference must be paid by the student or covered by a discount from the school.
